Finding Information
Delivering award-winning Associated Press material to researchers is simple. AP Interactives offers three easy searches.
Searching
Interactives
This search allows you to browse the interactives by subject matter such as “Iraq,” “Entertainment,” “Politics” and “Sports”. Each subject has several subgroups. Clicking on a subgroup gives the researcher a visual list of the interactives available.
Basic Search
Researchers can perform a keyword search by entering words or sentences. All phrases must be entered in double quotes. Groups of keywords should be placed within parentheses. Researchers can narrow their search by adding “and,” “or” and “not” between search terms and limiting by the timeframe in which the news was received.
Advanced Search
The quickest way to a more precise result list is by using Advanced Search. Advanced Search allows users to search by any or all of these fields:
- People
- Event
- Photographer
- City/State
- Country
- Source
- Image IDs
- And more
Search Results
All the results are presented visually. Users can peruse the results and click on the image they wish to view. When an interactive is chosen, viewers can watch it by clicking on “Play Interactive.”Users can link to Interactives for easy access later — ideal for classroom presentations, continued research or sharing with colleagues over the Internet.
